Runway East
Another exceptional project lands
When Runway East began the process to develop their co-working space in Covent Garden’s Endeavour House, they knew they needed a partner who would deliver anything but the status quo.
At Quarterback, challenging convention is our fundamental principle. Why? Because business as usual is broken.
Our policy is to call out risk and avoid it, not absorb it. To impose discipline, not go with the flow. To rebuild a flawed system rather than delivering within it.
Runway East weren’t looking for another contractor, they wanted a course correction. They got it.
Quarterback’s concept – Inspirational Nostalgia – was about a feeling rather than an aesthetic, but the devil was in the detail, as ever.
Tactile materials echoing 70s craftsmanship. Colour and contrast from the 80s. A space that glows with the honeyed light of ‘golden hour’; soft and cinematic, encouraging focus and flow. In short, a push from the past that fuels today’s imagination.
A vision, yes. But one that has been gloriously brought to bear, in a building that makes everyone who works there feel – and create – something.
Runway East felt something too: they’d found the partner for their next London project.
Ever wondered what Unreal Estate means? Delivery with accountability, and a building that works like Endeavour House.
